Summary: Engineering will be upgrading the underlying Cisco UCS infrastructure that supports the Cloud and Secure Cloud environments. This proactive maintenance will address several known issues and enable enhanced functionality.

Impact: We expect customer impact to be minimal. However, all maintenances do have an innate risk associated with them. In the event of an unexpected impact engineering will provide updates and further information.

Customer Action: There is no action required. All services will resume as normal at the end of the maintenance window.

Justification of the work: We are required to relocate and divert our cables and network route at Martelaarslaan in Ghent, Belgium, due to road and sewer construction works being done by the local municipal civil authorities. The existing network is at risk of major faults and damage if it remains in Situ. The work schedule has been provided by the local civil authorities, and if we do not carry it out, our cables shall be permanently damaged resulting in disruption to your service. Our engineers will cut, then move the cable, and re-splice the fibres. As the cable will be cut and have to be moved, there is no back-out plan for this work. The mentioned outage duration is a best estimation for the work at hand, but should you ascertain that you are experiencing any prolonged connection issues exceeding this during the works, please contact our technical service desk to investigate the matter https://www.colt.net/support/. Please note: This is a mandatory work which can unfortunately not be rescheduled and due to health and safety requirements, it has been raised during daylight hours.

Scheduled - Summary: Engineering will be upgrading the vCloud Director infrastructure supporting the Cloud and Secure Cloud environment. This latest vendor update incorporates significant bug fixes and enhancements for all customers currently utilizing this service.
Impact: During this maintenance window, operations to virtual machines via the Secure Cloud Console will be inaccessible. However, all running and protected virtual machines will remain fully operational during the maintenance. Integrated Backups for virtual machines in this environment will also be inoperable during the scheduled time. Customers using Secure DRaaS products may see intermittent site disconnects and will be unable to perform operations on protected virtual machines.
Customer Action: Customers running failover tests are required to stop those tests prior to the maintenance and will be unable to run failover tests until the maintenance has been completed. Any scheduled backup jobs that are scheduled during the maintenance window could show as failed, but will resume and complete upon next scheduled backup window. No additional action is required. All services will resume as normal at the end of the maintenance window.
